AERIALS TEAM TRYOUTS - 2025-26 SEASON

In order to attend the tryout, parents are required to virtually attend one of two Parent Information Meetings on either Thursday, February 27, 2025, or Tuesday, March 4, 2025. Times and links to the virtual meetings will be provided on Friday, January 31, 2025. 
MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENT
VAULT:
  • Good Running Technique
  • Good Hurdling Technique
  • Shaping Drill: Hollow Hold
  • Spotted Handstand Flatback onto 8” Mat

​BEAM:
  • Full Handstand on Low Beam OR Donkey Kick on High Beam
  • Stretch Jump on High Beam
  • Split Jump on Low Beam
  • Pivot Turn on High Beam
  • Side Handstand Dismount (no spot) on Medium Beam
BARS:
  • Glide Swing & Return
  • Pullover with Feet Together
  • 30 Degree Cast & Return
  • Back Hip Circle

FLOOR:
  • Handstand Hold
  • Handstand Forward Roll
  • Bridge Kick Over
  • Split Leap
  • Backward Roll to Push-Up
  • Round Off
  • Back Handspring over Octagon Mat with assistance

​​*Tryouts are required for both the Development Program (pre-team and Levels 3-10) and Xcel Program (Xcel Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Sapphire). They are typically held in the Spring at Barcroft and parents are required to attend a mandatory information session prior to tryouts.
